Lonja Field Nature Park total area of 51,000 acres of protected wetland area and was declared a nature park 1990th year. In addition, included in the Ramsar list of wetlands of international importance, and was added to the list of important areas for birds IBA (Important Bird Areas).

In the area of the park Lonjsko Polje there are two ornithological Rakita and Krapje Đol. Rakita was declared Reserve 1969th , and Krapje Đol 1963rd year.

Because of its natural wonders, flora of Lonjsko Polje Nature Park boasts with over 550 plant species. The most important forest tree species are red oak, ash Polish, Snakes, vodoljub and raznorotka.

Because of the conservation and untachable nature park abounds with rich fauna, from land to aquatic animal organisms. The most important animal species are the white stork, black stork, several types of herons, little Cormorant, kliktaš eagle and white-tailed eagle.

Of tourist attractions within the park, visitors are offered several educational programs, collection of ethnic, traditional events, recreational activities such as hiking trails, bike paths, boating tourist boat in the Sava River and sailing on the scaffolding.

From the restaurants there are a few rural households. There are several entrances to the Park, and one of them is the village Čigoć with Information Center not far from the village, where also there village Krapje with Information Center.
