Medvednica Nature Park with its 22,826 acres of surface and altitudes from 120 to 1035 meters is in the area of Zagreb, Zagreb County, Krapina-Zagorje County. Among the natural parks added in 1981. year.

The flora mainly consists of mountain forests and to as many as 12 forest and 8 species of forest reserves, a total of over 1300 recorded plant species. Fauna of Park Nature Medvednica is peculiar. We mentioned 107 day butterfly species, 47 species of insects, then several types of crabs, snails, ants and scorpions. Do not forget fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds and mammals.

From the stream to mention: Bliznec, Slani potok, Miroševac, Markuševac, Štefanec, Medveščak, Kraljevac, Zelengaj, Jelenovac, Črnomerec, Kustošak, Mikulić potok, Vrapčak, Jezeranec, Javorščak, Slivnjak, Dedina and Bistra. Known sources are Sutinska springs, Tisova Peč, Mrzljak Srednji, Mrzljak Donji, Kraljičin Zdenac, Jambrišakovo Vrelo and Mrzla Voda.

Park solved continental climate that is characterized by fresh summers and cold winters with a high percentage of humidity. Park visitors may be instructive to use paths and bicycle paths, and within the Park are many mountain lodges, hotels, guesthouses and forester's hut.
