On the southeastern part of the island Dugi Otok in the Zadar waters, surrounded by 13 islands, is situated Telaščica bay. Because of its natural wonders 1988th declared a nature park and occupies a total area of 70.5 km2.

Nature Park Telaščica boast one side with 25 small quiet beach, on the other hand protects the wild and steep rocks rising above the sea and up to 160 meters.

Vegetation of the island are well covered meadows and Mediterranean vegetation, while the submarine is over 600 different plant and animal species. Climate Nature Park Telaščica is Eumediterranean.

Natural heritage mentioned that Lake "Mir", which with its length of 900 meters and a width of 300 meters lies in a narrow area of land between the bay and the open sea Telaščica. Because of the relationship with the sea, a very small depth (maximum depth 6m) and high evaporation are characterized by great heat and salinity of water a few degrees above the temperature of the surrounding sea.

Of the sights where visitors can enjoy is certainly a bottlenose dolphin, which are often seen in the bay and the surrounding open sea, then the donkeys of which there are 10 or so on Telaščica is where you can photograph them. Of cultural heritage, there are numerous archaeological finds (grave mounds), and sacred objects (St. Ante).

Of catering facilities within the park Telaščica there are several objects with local gastronomic delights. Among the other tourist attractions there is the possibility to rent bicycles, scooters and boats.

Telaščica to the Nature Park can be reached in two ways: by sea or land excursions from the town of Sali to which there are regular ferry lines from Zadar.
